Finite element modeling of counter-roller spinning for large-sized aluminum alloy cylindrical parts

摘要: Counter-roller spinning (CRS), where the mandrel is replaced by rollers, is an effective means of manufacturing large-sized, thin-walled, cylindrical parts with more than 2500 mm diameter. CRS is very complex because of multi-axis rotation, multi-local loading along the circumference, and radial-axial compound deformation. Analytical or experimental methods cannot fully understand CRS. Meanwhile, numerical simulation is an adequate approach to investigate CRS with comprehensive understanding and a low cost. Thus, a finite element (FE) model of CRS was developed with the FORGE code via meshing technology, material modeling, determining the friction condition, and so on. The local fine mesh moving with the roller is one of highlights of the model. The developed 3D-FE model was validated through a CRS experiment by using a tubular blank with a 720 mm outer diameter. The developed 3D-FE model of CRS can provide a basis for parameter optimization, process control, die design, and so on. The data on force and energy predicted by the 3D-FE model can offer reasonable suggestions for determining the main mechanical parameters of CRS machines and selecting the motors. With the predicted data, an all-electric servo-drive system/machine with distributed power was designed in this work for CRS with four pairs of rollers to manufacture a large-sized, thin-walled, cylindrical part with 6000 mm diameter.

摘要: In this paper a model for suggesting a smart parking that involves a set of electric cars is presented to auction the management ability and correct parking planning in reserve spinning market, secondary energy market and grid. Parking interest under various scenarios is analyzed and its effective results are presented by a valid model. Besides, particle swarm optimization algorithm is used for calculating maximum benefit.

Real-time task processing method based on edge computing for spinning CPS

摘要: Spinning production is a typical continuous manufacturing process characterized by high speed and uncertain dynamics. Each manufacturing unit in spinning production produces various real-time tasks, which may affect production efficiency and yarn quality if not processed in time. This paper presents an edge computing-based method that is different from traditional centralized cloud computation because its decentralization characteristics meet the high-speed and high-response requirements of yarn production. Edge computing nodes, real-time tasks, and edge computing resources are defined. A system model is established, and a real-time task processing method is proposed for the edge computing scenario. Experimental results indicate that the proposed real-time task processing method based on edge computing can effectively solve the delay problem of real-time task processing in spinning cyber-physical systems, save bandwidth, and enhance the security of task transmission.

Vibratory behaviors of Jeffcott system on cylindrical roller bearings

摘要: A Jeffcott rotor system of cylindrical roller bearings is studied in detail. Its critical speed is calculated by a new calculation method with roller bearing stiffness and damping. The influences of bearing parameters, such as the roller length, rotor mass, distance between the bearings and the kinematics viscosity of oil on the system critical speed are numerically studied, and the influences of an oil film and damping on the critical speed are also studied. Regular curves of the relationship between the geometric parameters and the system critical speed are obtained. The results show that with increasing roller length and radial load, the critical speed increases; and with increasing rotor mass and the distance between the bearings and the kinematics viscosity, the critical speed decreases. This means that an oil film will decrease the critical rotational speed of the rotor system.

Temperature control of transfer roller’s bearing based on finite element analysis

摘要: After a heat preservation cover is installed on the main rolling line, the heat dissipation environment of the transfer roller working on the heat preservation cover is changed. To ensure the normal production, a reasonable working jet capacity of the roller neck is derived. First, a globe model of the transfer roller is built for finite element analysis. Second, the sub-model of the fixed end bearing is built and the boundary condition of the sub-model is supplied by the results of the globe model. The analysis result of the sub-model shows that the temperature of the transfer roller bearing exceeds 85°C a rolling periodicity later. With finite element analysis, the heat flux is obtained and the minimum working jet capacity is derived.

Best operating conditions to produce hydroxyapatite nanoparticles by means of a spinning disc reactor

摘要: In this work, Mg doped hydroxyapatite (Mg-HAP) nanoparticles were produced by a reaction-precipitation process by using a spinning disc reactor (SDR) at high rotational speed. The production process of these nanoparticles consisted of the neutralization reaction between two aqueous solutions of calcium chloride and ammonia orthophosphate at room temperature. By operating at pH= 10, a high purity Mg-HAP nanoparticles were obtained. In particular, they were 51 nm in average size when the two reagents were fed over the disc symmetrically at 3 cm from the disc center and a rotational speed of the disc reactor equal to 1400 r/min was adopted.

Optimal dynamic emergency reserve activation using spinning, hydro and demand-side reserves

摘要: This paper proposes an optimal dynamic reserve activation plan after the occurrence of an emergency situation (generator/transmission line outage, load increase or both). An optimal plan is developed to handle the emergency, using the coordinated action of fast and slow reserves, for secure operation with minimum overall cost. It considers the reserves supplied by the conventional thermal generators (spinning reserves), hydro power units and load demands (demand-side reserves). The optimal backing down of costly/fast reserves and bringing up of slow reserves in each sub-interval in an integrated manner is proposed. The proposed reserve activation approaches are solved using the genetic algorithm, and some of the simulation results are also compared using the Matlab optimization toolbox and the general algebraic modeling system (GAMS) software. The simulation studies are performed on the IEEE 30, 57 and 300 bus test systems. These results demonstrate the advantage of the proposed integrated/dynamic reserve activation plan over the conventional/sequential approach.

Effect of counter current gas phase on liquid film

摘要: Liquid film flow is very important in many industrial applications. However, there are few reports about its characteristics on structured packings. Therefore, in this paper, liquid film phenomena were investigated experimentally to exploit new approaches for intensifying the performance of the structured packings. All experiments were performed at room temperature. Water and air were the working fluids. The effect of counter current gas phase on the liquid film was taken into consideration. A high speed camera, a non-intrusive measurement technique, was used. It is shown that both liquid and gas phases have strong effects on film characteristics. In the present work, liquid film width increased by 57% because of increasing liquid flow rate, while it decreased by 25% resulting from the counter current gas phase.

圆锥滚子轴承振动的灰色模糊聚类分析

以30204型圆锥滚子轴承试验数据为基础,利用灰色模糊聚类分析方法对影响圆锥滚子轴承振动的 因素进行了综合分析,将圆锥滚子轴承各项参数按其对振动的影响分为三类:第一类对振动的影响最大,其 中包括滚子凸度、滚子直径偏差Dw 等参数;第二类对振动的影响较大,其中包括内滚道圆度,内滚道直线性 Li 等参数;第三类对振动的影响最小,其中包括内滚道波纹度,内滚道的角度偏差Δ2β 等参数。根据分类可 知,试验中圆锥滚子轴承的大部分参数都会对振动产生较大的影响。

Development of a cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) counter using a laser and charge-coupled device (CCD

摘要: A continuous flow streamwise thermal gradient cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) counter with an aerosol focusing and a laser-charge-coupled device (CCD) camera detector system was developed here. The counting performance of the laser-CCD camera detector system was evaluated by comparing its measured number concentrations with those measured with a condensation particle counter (CPC) using polystyrene latex (PSL) and NaCl particles of varying sizes. The CCD camera parameters (e.g. brightness, gain, gamma, and exposure time) were optimized to detect moving particles in the sensing volume and to provide the best image to count them. The CCN counter worked well in the particle number concentration range of 0.6–8000 #·cm and the minimum detectable size was found to be 0.5 μm. The supersaturation in the CCN counter with varying temperature difference was determined by using size-selected sodium chloride particles based on K?hler equation. The developed CCN counter was applied to investigate CCN activity of atmospheric ultrafine particles at 0.5% supersaturation. Data showed that CCN activity increased with increasing particle size and that the higher CCN activation for ultrafine particles occurred in the afternoon, suggesting the significant existence of hygroscopic or soluble species in photochemically-produced ultrafine particles.

On the improvement design of dynamic characteristics for the roller follower of a variable-speed plate

Without modifying the cam contour, a cam mechanism with a variable input speed trajectory offers an alternative solution to flexibly achieve kinematic and dynamic characteristics, and then decrease the follower’s residual vibration. Firstly, the speed trajectory of cam is derived by employing Bezier curve, and motion continuity conditions are investigated. Then the motion characteristics between the plate cam and its roller follower are derived. To analyze the residual vibration, a single degree of freedom dynamic model of the elastic cam-follower system is introduced. Based on the motion equation derived from the dynamic model, the residual vibration of the follower is yielded. The design procedure to improve the kinematic and dynamic motion characteristics is presented and two design examples with discussions are provided. Finally, the simulations of the kinematic and dynamic models by ADAMS are carried out and verified that the design models as well as the performances of the mechanism are feasible.

In this paper we investigate the nonlinear dynamic behaviour of a cam mechanism with oscillating roller follower in presence of defects. The nonlinear developed lumped-mass model includes eight degrees of freedom with two nonlinear hertzian contacts. The first one is located between cam and first roller while the second is between second roller and the sliding rod. The nonlinear dynamic behaviour is described by second order differential equations which are resolved by using the implicit Newmark algorithm combined with the Newton-Raphson iterative scheme. The influence of the cam profile error on the dynamic behaviour is also investigated.

Thermodynamic performance experiment and cooling number calculation of a counter-flow spray humidifier

摘要: An experimental investigation of the thermodynamic performance of a counter-flow spray humidifier was conducted on the basis of theoretical analysis of the heat and mass transfer mechanism inside the humidifier. Critical parameters such as the temperature and relative humidity of air and the temperature of water at the inlet and outlet were measured. The influence of every measured parameter on the thermal performance of the humidifier was obtained under different experimental conditions. The cooling number, whose variation was also obtained, was calculated according to the measured data. The experimental results show that both the temperature and the temperature increment of outlet humid air and the temperature of outlet water increase with an increase of the water-gas ratio, whereas the cooling number decreases. Under all experimental conditions, the outlet humid air reaches or is close to the saturation level. The lower cooling number is favorable for the system, but it has an optimal value for a certain humidifier.

The Development Situation, Future and Counter Measures of Remanufacturing Industry in China

摘要: Currently, resource supply and demand contradiction, and over-loaded environment capacity have become a bottleneck for sustainable economic development in China. Electro-mechanical products are approaching a peak of obsolescence, and massive abandoned electro-mechanical products are causing severe environmental pollution, huge waste of resources and potential safety hazard. Remanufacturing is repairing or modifying worn mechanical products using high-tech method, which buffers the contradiction between wasting and shortage of resources, and brings industry towards a comprehensive utilization of resource and environmental protection. As a new strategic industry, remanufacturing, which is highly coherent with the development strategy of the circular economy, is still in its infancy in China. This paper analyzes the developmental trends and problems of the remanufacturing industry in China, and proposes promoting measures based on the engineering practices of remanufacturing.

Application of high-speed counter-current chromatography coupled with high performance liquid chromatography

摘要: Quercetin-3--sambubioside Quercetin-3--β-D-xylopyranosyl (1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside was separated and purified by semi-preparative high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) with a two-phase-solvent system composed of ethyl acetate-n-butanol–water (4∶1∶5, v/v) from the leaves of (Lotus). A total of 5.0mg of the targeted compound with a purity of 98.6% as determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was obtained from 100m g of the crude extract cleaned up by AB-8 macroporous resin in a one-step separation. Quercetin-3--sambubioside was a novel flavonoid glycoside from the leaves of , and its chemical structure was identified by means of ESI-MS, 1D NMR and 2D NMR.
